With the Los Angeles Lakers victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday evening, the Portland Trail Blazers were officially eliminated from the playoffs before their game against the Sacramento Kings at Moda Center had ended.

The Blazers did move into fifth in the NBA Draft Lottery order with the loss and Orlando's victory Friday night at Washington. If Portland loses the remaining five-games on their schedule, they will remain fifth in the lottery order giving them a 10.5% chance at the number 1 pick and a 42.1% chance at moving into the top four.
Sacramento (47-30) has clinched a playoff berth for the first time since 2006 and remain two-games back of Memphis for second in the Western Conference with five-games to play.
Shaedon Sharpe led Portland with 27 points. Sharpe's layup got Portland within 110-103 in the fourth quarter, but the Kings responded with a 22-2 run to put the game away.
Up Next- Trail Blazers travel to Minnesota to meet the Timberwolves Sunday afternoon at Target Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 12:30 PM.
Chad's Take- Most important thing to take from the game tonight, Blazers are now 5th in the NBA Draft Lottery order. With the loss and Orlando's win, Portland is guaranteed 5th if they lose all 5 of their remaining games.
