Trail Blazers Grab First Win Of The Season In Toronto

----- Jerami Grant finished with 22 points and six rebounds and Malcolm Brogdon added 21 points and five assists as the Trail Blazers earned their first win of the season 99-91 over the Toronto Raptors.

A great team-effort led to the Trail Blazers first win of the season in Toronto!

One day after getting crushed by the 76ers 126-98 in Philadelphia, the Trail Blazers responded with their best effort of this young NBA season.

Jerami Grant scored a team-high 22 points, Malcolm Brogdon finished with 21 points and five assists, and DeAndre Ayton added 10 points and a career-high 23 rebounds as the Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Toronto Raptors 99-91 Monday afternoon at Scotiabank Arena.

The Blazers defense was pesky all night limiting the Raptors to just 40.4% shooting including just 4-of-29 from three-point range. The solid defensive performance allowed the team to stay within striking-distance while the team worked through some issues on offense.

Pascal Siakam scored 20 points, and Dennis Schroder and O.G. Anunoby each had 10 for Toronto.

Portland took control of the game in the third quarter outscoring Toronto 33-24 building a six-point lead at 80-74.

Toronto cut the deficit to 88-87 with 3:25 to play, but a three-pointer from Grant and a bucket by Brogdon helped Portland put the game away with an 11-4 run.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers will travel to Detroit to meet the Pistons on Wednesday. The game is scheduled to tip off at 4:00 PM.

Chad's Take- Multiple players contributed, great team-win in Toronto.
