D'Angelo Russell scored a game-high 34 points and Lebron James finished with 28 points, five rebounds, and five assists as the Los Angeles Lakers hammered the Portland Trail Blazers 134-110 Sunday night at Crypto.com Arena.
Russell connected on 6-of-11 from three-point range and added eight assists.
Los Angeles (22-22) raced to a 17-6 lead to start the game and shot 59% from the field in the first quarter. The Lakers pushed their lead to 58-42 with 4:46 left in the first half following a James three-point play taking a 67-54 halftime lead.
The Lakers pushed their lead to 16 at 103-87 at the end of the third quarter. They put the game out of reach with a 19-11 run to open the fourth leading by as much as 27.
The Lakers had a 35-8 edge in fast break points and scored 23 points off of 14 Blazers' turnovers.
Malcolm Brogdon led Portland (12-30) with 23 points and nine assists and Anfernee Simons added 19 on 8-of-15 shooting.
