Bulls Handle Trail Blazers

----- DeMar DeRozan scored 12 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter as the Chicago Bulls defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 104-96 Sunday night at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.

DeMar DeRozan finished with 20 points and six assists and Coby White added 15 points and nine assists as the Chicago Bulls topped the Portland Trail Blazers 104-96 Sunday night at Moda Center in Portland.

Portland (13-33) got a game-high 24 points from Jerami Grant and 22 points and 12 rebounds from Deandre Ayton, but the team struggled to make shots throughout the game. Portland connected on just 40.5% of their shots and were an abysmal 6-of-33 from beyond-the-arc.

Chicago (22-25) used a 16-7 run the in the second quarter to build a double-digit going into halftime at 53-42. The Blazers opened the second half on an 11-4 run and outscored the Bulls 33-23 in the third quarter to cut the deficit to one-point at 76-75 heading into the fourth.

The Bulls opened the fourth quarter on a 9-2 run and took a nine-point lead at 91-82 lead with 6:47 to play in the game.

Portland battled back and got to within three-points at 99-96, but a three-pointer from Ayo Dosunmu with 20.5 seconds remaining put the game out of reach.

Notes- Chicago outscored Portland in the paint 52-40 and had the edge in fast break points 15-4.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers play the second of a back-to-back against the Philadelphia 76ers tomorrow night at Moda Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.

Chad's Take- Trail Blazers showed some grit coming off the road trip, but not enough offense to overcome the Bulls.
