Portland (15-41) tied a season-low for points in a half with 34 in the first half Sunday night. The Trail Blazers trailed 47-34 at halftime as they shot just 26% from the field including 1-of-17 from beyond-the-arc.

Portland remained within striking-distance thanks to their defense and offensive rebounding trailing by just 11-points at 70-59 entering the fourth quarter. The Blazers used a 9-3 run to open the fourth and cut the deficit to five-points at 73-68 after a bucket from Anfernee Simons.

Charlotte (15-42) responded with a 16-0 run to put the game away.

For the game, Portland made just 3-of-32 from three-point range.

Deandre Ayton had another big night for the Trail Blazers. He recorded a double-double with 26 points and 19 rebounds on 11-of-16 shooting.

The Blazers tied an NBA mark by making the fewest three-pointers in a game with at least 31 attempts.
