Jaylen Brown scored 27 points and Jayson Tatum added 26 points and eight assists as the Boston Celtics recorded a 121-99 victory over the Trail Blazers Monday night at Moda Center in Portland.
Sam Hauser added 22 points on 6-of-10 shooting from three-point range. Boston became just the third team on the season to record 30 or more assists with three or fewer turnovers in a game.
Deandre Ayton led Portland with 22 points and 15 rebounds, Anfernee Simons scored 17 points, and Scoot Henderson added 13 points and eight assists. Henderson got the start and had his minutes restriction lifted after missing eight-games with an adductor strain.
The Trail Blazers pulled to within six at 56-50 in the second quarter after 11-straight points, but the Celtics closed the half on a 10-2 run and took a 66-52 lead into halftime.
Boston put the game away with a 13-8 run to open the fourth quarter pushing their lead to 101-83.
