Anfernee Simons scored 11 of his game-high 30 points in the fourth quarter and Deandre Ayton recorded his eighth double-double in his last nine games. He finished with 25 points and 15 rebounds on 11-of-17 shooting.
Chicago built an 82-66 lead in the third quarter following a three-pointer from Jevon Carter and a dunk from Vucevic after back-to-back turnovers from Portland.
The Trail Blazers used a 25-11 run to open the fourth capped off by a Duop Reath layup to even the game at 100.
Vucevic gave the Bulls a 108-105 lead with 9.1 seconds remaining. After Simons and DeRozan exchanged a pair of free throws, the Blazers had the ball down 110-107 with 2.4 seconds on the clock. Simons would miss a three-pointer at the buzzer and Chicago held on for their 34th win on the season.
Up Next- The Trail Blazers return to Portland for the first of three home games against the Los Angeles Clippers Wednesday night at Moda Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.
