Clippers Edge Trail Blazers In Seattle

Derrick Jones Jr. finished with 16 points and Kai Jones scored on a lob-dunk with 2.2 seconds remaining as the Los Angeles Clippers edged the Portland Trail Blazers 101-99 Friday night at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle.

Toumani Camara led Portland with 19 points and Scoot Henderson added 13 points on just 4-of-16 shooting. Jerami Grant was the first player in the game to hit double figures. He finished with 16 points on 4-of-8 shooting in the first half.

Portland trailed 97-91 with 1:34 remaining, but used an 8-2 run to even the game at 99-99 with 4.2 seconds left. After a Clippers timeout, Kai Jones gave Los Angeles the lead at 101-99 after a lob-dunk with 2.2 seconds on the clock.

Up Next- Trail Blazers will travel to Sacramento to meet the Kings on Sunday afternoon. The game is scheduled to tip off at 3:00 PM.

Chad's Take- Great to see Donovan Clingan in his first action. The young guys battled in the second half. Showed nice intensity on defense.
