Jerami Grant finished with 18 points and seven assists and Donovan Clingan dominated with 14 points and 20 rebounds as the Portland Trail Blazers routed the Utah Jazz 124-86 in their preseason finale.
Grant scored nine-points in the first quarter on 3-of-4 shooting from beyond-the-arc as Portland build a 29-17 lead. The Blazers had a 15-8 rebounding edge in the first and 10 assists.
Portland used a 12-0 run in the second to build a 52-24 lead. They would go on for a 60-33 halftime advantage. Portland had 18 assists and nine steals at halftime.
The Trail Blazers opened the third quarter on an 11-1 run to take a commanding 71-34 lead.
Portland finished with game with 34 assists, 16 steals, and 10 blocked shots.
Rayan Rupert led the team with 20 points.
Up Next- The Trail Blazers will open the season Wednesday night at Moda Center against the Golden State Warriors. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.
Chad's Take- Great showing by the Blazers. Clingan was dominant, Grant looked to be in mid-season form, and both the pace and defense was to Coach Billups liking.
