The OKC Thunder showed the crowd Friday night why they are considered by many to be the best team in the Western Conference this season.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored a game-high 30 points and Jalen Williams added 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting as the Oklahoma City Thunder outscored the Portland Trail Blazers 137-114 Friday night at Moda Center.

Jerami Grant led Portland (2-4) with 17 points and Deandre Ayton added 14 points and five rebounds.

The game was tied at halftime 68-68 after the Trail Blazers outscored the Thunder 44-31 in the second quarter. Portland closed the half on a 17-8 run and both Toumani Camara and Rayan Rupert each hit three three-pointers in the first half.

Oklahoma City (5-0) took command of the game in the third quarter with a 21-5 run. Their defense generated 19 points off 12 Portland turnovers in the third. The Thunder led by 21 at 106-85 heading into the fourth. The Trail Blazers never threatened in the fourth as both teams went to the bench.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers will play the second of a back-to-back Saturday night in Phoenix against the Suns. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.
