Trail Blazers Run Out Of Gas In Phoenix

------ Trail Blazers late charge not enough to overtake the Suns!

Devin Booker scored a game-high 28 points and Kevin Durant added 20 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists as the Phoenix Suns defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 116-109 Sunday night at Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

Anfernee Simons led Portland (8-18) with 20 points and Jerami Grant added 17 points and six rebounds for Portland. Deni Avdija continued his solid play with 17 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.

The Trail Blazers used an 11-0 run to open the third quarter to take a 62-57 lead, but the Suns would respond and retake the advantage at 83-79 entering the fourth.

Phoenix (14-11) put the game out of reach with a 9-0 run in the fourth quarter pushing their lead to 12 at 94-82. Portland did not threaten the rest of the way.

The Suns connected on 48.3% of their field goals including 15-of-39 from three-point range.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers will return to Portland to meet the Denver Nuggets Thursday night at Moda Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.
