Lebron Powers Lakers Past Trail Blazers

----- Lebron James scored a game-high 38 points as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Portland Trail Blazers Thursday night at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles without Anthony Davis.

LeBron James scored 38 points, Max Christie had a career-high 28 as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 114-106 on Thursday night.

James hit a season-high seven three-pointers and Christie added five for the Lakers, who have won six of eight. Austin Reaves contributed 15 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds.

Anthony Davis sat out for only the second time this season to rest his sprained left ankle.

Simons scored 11 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter for the Trail Blazers. Shaedon Sharpe and Deni Avdija added 19 points apiece.

Portland (11-22) used a 10-2 run in the fourth to pull within three at 103-100, but the Lakers responded with a 7-2 run to put the game out of reach.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers continue their five-game road trip Saturday evening in Milwaukee against the Bucks. The game is scheduled to tip off at 5:00 PM.
