Blazers Burn Heat

The Portland Trail Blazers improved to 23-22 on the season with a 127-110 victory over the Miami Heat Thursday night at Moda Center!

Shaedon Sharpe scored a team-high 27 points and Deni Avdija added 20 points, seven rebounds, and four assists as the Portland Trail Blazers improved to 11-3 in their last 14-games with a 127-110 victory over the Miami Heat.

Deni Avdija exited the game early in the third quarter with an apparent back injury. No update on his status for Friday's game against the Raptors was available following the game.

Bam Adebayo led Miami (23-22) with 32 points and nine rebounds and Andrew Wiggins added 14 points, six rebounds, and three assists.

Portland (23-22) led by one-point at halftime but used a 23-4 run in the third quarter to take control of the game. The Heat cut the Blazers lead to seven in the fourth, but Portland closed the game on a 17-7 run and put the game away.

With the win, Portland is above .500 for the first time since they were 6-5 early in the season.

Portland connected on 20-of-50 from beyond-the-arc while Miami made just 9-of-45.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers play the second of a back-to-back Friday night against the Toronto Raptors at Moda Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.
