Suns send the Trail Blazers to their sixth-straight loss Tuesday night at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.
Collin Gillespie finished with 30 points and 10 assists and Mark Williams recorded a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds as the Phoenix Suns defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 130-125 Tuesday night at Moda Center.
Jerami Grant led Portland with 23 points, Shaedon Sharpe added 19, and Jrue Holiday finished with 15 points, six assists, and five turnovers.
Portland (23-28) built a 19-point lead in the first quarter following a 23-5 run but Phoenix used a 13-5 run to close the gap to 11. The Blazers connected on 8-of-15 from beyond-the-arc in the first.
The Suns continued their comeback with a 21-12 run over the final 5:02 of the first half and the Blazers led 72-67 at halftime.
Phoenix took control of the game with a 22-12 run over the final 7:16 of the third quarter and led 101-94 heading to the fourth.
The Trail Blazers used a 9-2 run to cut the deficit to four with 1:15 to play but the Suns responded with five-straight to put the game away.
Portland made just 5-of-22 from beyond-the-arc in the second half while the Suns made 20-of-41 for the game. Gillespie was 8-of-14.
Devin Booker did not play for the Suns (Right Ankle). Deni Avdija (Back) did not play for Portland. Scoot Henderson is expected to make his season-debut this weekend against the Memphis Grizzlies at Moda Center.
Vit Krejci made his debut for the Trail Blazers after being acquired from the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday. He finished with five points on 2-of-7 shooting.
