----- Jrue Holiday scored a game-high 35 points and connected on 8-of-11 from three-point range as the Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Memphis Grizzlies Wednesday evening at FedExForum in Memphis.
Jrue Holiday scored a game-high 35 points, Robert Williams III recorded a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds on 9-of-13 shooting, and Jerami Grant added 30 as the Portland Trail Blazers earned a much-needed road win 122-114 over the Memphis Grizzlies at FedExForum.
While sloppy at times, Portland connected on 50% of their field goals and finished the game +6 in points off turnovers and dominated the paint with a 62-46 edge.
Portland (30-33) built a 9-point lead late in the first but Memphis closed the quarter on an 8-3 run and the Trail Blazers led 32-28 entering the second.
After Donovan Clingan was ejected from the game for throwing an elbow, the Grizzlies capped off a 9-0 run and built an eight-point lead at 55-47 with 2:53 left in the half. Jrue Holiday responded by connecting on his fourth three-pointer of the half to finish off a Portland 12-4 run and the game was tied at 59 at halftime.
Portland took a four-point into the fourth and put the game away with a 20-12 run that pushed their lead to 11 with less than two-minutes remaining.
With the win, Portland improved to 2-2 on their current five-game road trip.
