Trail Blazers Cut Down The Nets

----- Big win for the Blazers in Brooklyn!

Deni Avdija finished with 18 points, six rebounds, and five assists and Toumani Camara added 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting as the Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Brooklyn Nets 114-95 Monday night at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.

Portland (33-36) wasted little time getting to work. The Blazers scored the first 10-points of the game and led 28-9 with 3:12 to play in the first.

Kris Murray scored 12 of his 14 points in the first half and helped the Blazers close the first half on a 23-13 run as Portland took a 65-51 lead into the locker room.

Brooklyn (17-51) used a 9-0 run in the third to cut Portland's lead to 19 to force a Tiago Splitter timeout. Portland responded with 9-straight to push their lead back to 28.

After the Blazers had built a 31-point lead, the Nets responded with a run late in the third and into the fourth of 16-straight to cut the Blazers' lead to 15 but Portland was able to quickly push their lead back to 19 and cruised to victory.

The Trail Blazers made 51% of their shots and connected on 11-of-26 from beyond-the-arc.

Turnovers were once again an issue for Portland as they coughed it up 14 times in the second half leading to 19 points for the Nets.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers Continue their five-game road trip Wednesday in Indiana against the Pacers. The game is scheduled to tip off at 4:30 PM.

Chad's Take- A much needed dominant performance for the Trail Blazers. It wasn't perfect, but a step in the right direction. Big props to Kris Murray. He was excellent.
