So close to a Storybook finish for Beavs and Cory Hall!

Yes the Beavers dropped to 1-6 on Saturday losing to Colorado 36-33. But this game was unlike any other during the 2017 season.  Cory Hall, making his debut as Oregon State's head coach transformed a team in total meltdown with a head coach leaving Corvallis five days a cohesive football team that played with passion, heart and effectiveness. The storybook finish came up just short but Beaver Nation and beyond had to be impressed with this football team.

I had my first chance to talk to Cory Hall Saturday on the Beaver Sports Network as he walked toward the locker room after that surprising first half in which the Beaver had five possessions and five first downs. Hall was measured, confident in his words and excited about the second half. This game, the second half wasn't a debacle but a sign that there is life at Reser Stadium. I posted his post game news conference with the local media on this page to give you an insight into Cory Hall. He had this same positive slant in the interview I did with Cory on the Beaver Sports Network.

Now he has until the 26th to prepare for Stanford. No easy assignment but the Interim coach says they will be ready to go!
