The Pac-12 conference is so talented and deep. A great example of that was last night's battle at Gill Coliseum before 4,733 fans. Washington State's Borislava Hristova (Bobby Buckets) helped lead a Cougar comeback in the third quarter. However the Beavers made clutch baskets in a decisive 4th quarter to hold off Washington State 76-69. The win improves the Oregon State record to 11-2 on the season and the Cougs drop to 6-7.
So many heroes for the Beavers in this great matchup. Taya Corosdale hit a huge basket at the end of the third quarter to give the Beavs a 56=54 lead. Corosdale wound up with eight big points and nine boards.
Maddie Washington continues to improve inside the paint. She hauled down a career high 10 rebounds six on the offensive side. Point guard Destiny Slocum had 12 points and eight assists and Mikayla Pivec was solid with 14 points and seven rebounds.
Junior three-point sharp shooter Kat Tudor left the game with an apparent knee injury and didn't return. She was on crutches after the game but the severity of her injury is unknown.
