OSU Pitching Coach Nate Yeskie leaving Corvallis for Tucson!!

Nate Yeskie has decided to leave the Oregon State Baseball program. Three National Championships and a ton of success developing young arms, Yeskie was a finalist for the OSU head coaching job once Pat Casey said for certain he wasn't coming back. However, the Beavers selected Mitch Canham to guide the team. Kendall Rogers of @d1baseball.com broke the story on twitter Monday night:

COACHING SCOOP: In a move certain to create buzz on the West Coast, @ArizonaBaseball has hired @BeaverBaseball’s Nate Yeskie as its Associate Head Coach/Pitching Coach, sources tell @d1baseball. Yeskie spent the last 11 years w/ the #Beavs and gives UofA a shot in the arm. #Pac12

No official release yet from Oregon State, but insiders have told me this is happening. No word on who might take over as part of Mitch Canham's staff. Canham a former Oregon State player and a Manager in the Seattle Mariners organization took over on June 5th. More details coming up here on Rip City Radio 620's website.
