Don't Be Surprised if Hugh Freeze is Coaching LSU in 2019

"If Hugh Freeze could get a small school opening and do well there for a year, he could be set up to be in the running for a job as big as LSU."

Even though his name has been dragged through the mud the past year, Clay Travis thinks the former Ole Miss coach who resurrected the Rebels program the last half-decade could be one of the most popular candidates for a major opening next year.

Freeze, of course, was forced to resign in the summer of 2017 after accusations that he was personally contacting escorts for extended periods of time during state-funded recruiting trips, but at one time, was considered one of the most heralded minds in the South for his offensive genius and ability to dominate elite Nick Saban defenses.

Travis thinks what Bobby Petrino did was much worse, and that Freeze, alongside Petrino himself, and Lane Kiffin, will be the top candidates to replace the bumbling Ed Orgeron in 2019 at LSU.
