Police Need Help Identifying Mural Vandals

The Portland Police Bureau is attempting to identify multiple suspects in a vandalism case that defaced a community mural in Northeast Portland's King Neighborhood.

On July 26, 2021, the Portland Police Bureau learned that the mural memorializing George Floyd had been defaced and marked with graffiti advertising a white supremacist group. Officers began an investigation and learned that the graffiti had already been removed by community volunteers. But they were able to obtain a photo and surveillance video of the crime. Attempts to identify the suspects have not been successful, so PPB is now sharing the video requesting the community's help in identifying them.

The crime occurred on July 24, 2021 at 11:39p.m. in the 3800 block of Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Anyone with information about this crime or the suspects in the video, please e-mail crimetips@portlandoregon.gov and reference case number 21-802042.
