Blazers Hammer The Mavericks

----- Ed Davis scored 15 points and pulled down 13 rebounds as the Portland Trail Blazers defeat the Dallas Mavericks 107-93 on Friday night.

The Portland Trail Blazers long search for consistency might be coming to an end. The Blazers hammered the Dallas Mavericks 107-93 Friday night for their fifth win in six games and by doing so snapped a four-game road losing streak.

Portland (27-22) had great balance on offense. Damian Lillard scored 29 points in three quarters and Ed Davis came off the bench to add 15 points and 13 rebounds. After struggling Wednesday night against Minnesota, Jusuf Nurkic scored 12 points and eight rebounds in just 17 minutes. The Blazers shot 49.4% from the field and dominated the Mavericks on the glass with a 54-37 edge in rebounding.

After struggling early in the first quarter, the Blazers exploded for 35 points in the second quarter to take an eight-point lead into halftime at 52-44. The Blazers have now scored 100 or more in 14-straight games.

Harrison Barnes led Dallas (16-33) with 21 points while Dirk Nowitzki was held to just seven points in 21 minutes.

Next up- The Trail Blazers will travel to Los Angeles to meet the Clippers on Tuesday evening at Staples Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 PM.

Chad's take- How can we insert Ed Davis's heart inside of Jusuf Nurkic's body?
