Blazers Drop Clippers For 13th Straight Win

----- Damian Lillard scores 23 points as the Portland Trail Blazers win their NBA-best 13th straight game with a 122-109 win over the Los Angeles Clippers Sunday night at Staples Center.

The Portland Trail Blazers are red-hot and rolling. Portland won their NBA-best 13th straight game on Sunday night with a 122-109 win over the Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center. Damian Lillard scored 23 points as all five Blazers' starters scored in double-figures.

''In the past when teams have made a run, I've tried to go out there and will us in the right way, or CJ will try,'' Lillard said. ''But this year, we're leaning on each other. We trust in each other and guys are coming through. We're getting guys hitting big shots, big steals, big defense, hitting big free throws. We're just trusting in it more and more.''

The Blazers' front court dominated action on Sunday night. Maurice Harkless and Al-Farouq Aminu combined for 37 points on 7-for-11 shooting from three-point range while Jusuf Nurkic finished with 17 points, 12 rebounds, and four blocked shots.

Lou Williams led the Clippers with 30 points. Montrezl Harrell had 24 points and DeAndre Jordan had 16 rebounds for Los Angeles, which lost its third straight and fell two games back of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Clippers have 13 games remaining.

With the win, Portland (44-26) moved their lead over Oklahoma City to two games for third place in the Western Conference playoff standings.

NEXT UP- The Trail Blazers host the Houston Rockets Tuesday night at Moda Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 PM.
