Blazers Clinch Third Seed With Victory Over Jazz

----- The Trail Blazers clinch the third seed and home-court advantage with a 102-93 win over the Utah Jazz in their season finale at Moda Center.

After suffering through a four-game losing streak, the Portland Trail Blazers (49-33) ended their season with a bang as they hammered the Utah Jazz 102-93 Wednesday night at Moda Center. With the win, Portland secured the Northwest Division Crown, the third seed in the West, and home-court advantage in their first round playoff series against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Damian Lillard bounced back from a poor shooting night in Denver finishing with 36 points and 10 assists on 13-for-25 shooting. It was the 100th time in his career with 30 or more points in a game. Jusuf Nurkic finished with 13 points, nine rebounds, and four blocked shots, and CJ McCollum added 19 points and four rebounds.

"I thought the most important thing about tonight's game was playing well," coach Terry Stotts said. "I thought it was important ... going in (to the playoffs) with a feel good. I thought we had had too good of a season not to finish on a high note."

The Blazers and Pelicans split their four-game series this season with each team grabbing a win on the road.

With the loss, Utah (48-34) dropped to the 5th-seed in the West. They will face the Thunder in round one with the series opening up on Sunday 12:30 PM in Oklahoma City.

INJURY UPDATE- After being evaluated on Wednesday, Maurice Harkless is working on a three-week timeline which would have him returning sometime next week.

NEXT UP- The Trail Blazers will open their first round playoff series against the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday. Game one is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 PM.
