The "Joker" Nikola Jokic was a major pain for Portland in game one of the Western Conference Semifinals Monday night. Jokic scored 37 points, nine rebounds, and six assists as the Denver Nuggets took a 1-0 series lead in their best-of-seven series against Portland with a 121-113 win.
The Blazers had their issues. They didn't have an answer for Jokic, they turned it over 18 times, and outside of Damian Lillard and Enes Kanter, no one else really got it going. Rodney Hood did breakout of his slump to score 17 points, but the Blazers are going to need more from multiple guys moving forward if they are hoping to advance.
The big question of course, what can they do to slow down Nikola Jokic? My former partner Jason Peterson joined me on the latest episode of the "What's Chad Doing" podcast to breakdown game one and discuss possible counter moves by Terry Stotts in game two on Wednesday night.
