Blazers Come Up Short In Milwaukee

----- Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 37 points on 16-of-24 shooting and Jrue Holiday added 17 points and six assists as the Milwaukee Bucks topped the Portland Trail Blazers 119-111 Monday night at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, WI.

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored a game-high 37 points, Jrue Holiday finished with 17 points and six assists, and Grayson Allen added 17 points and eight rebounds as the Milwaukee Bucks handed the Trail Blazers a 119-111 defeat Monday night at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.

“Obviously playing Giannis it's always going to be a tough night,” Anfernee Simons said. “He's just so tough to guard. It took all five of us to guard him.”

Antetokounmpo connected on 16 of his 24 shots from the field.

“I thought he played with his teammates well and then played well himself,” Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said. “Everybody made the right pass. If you don't make the right pass, if you're holding it too much, they can junk it up with all the different things they do defensively.”

The Blazers played without Damian Lillard (calf), it was the sixth-game he has missed with the injury this season. Shaedon Sharpe got the start in Lillard's place, he finished with two points on 1-of-9 shooting.

Simons led the Blazers (10-7) with 29 points and Josh Hart added 17 points. Jusuf Nurkic had 16 points and 10 rebounds. Portland lost its third straight game.

The Blazers kept it close in the first half thanks to Simons' 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting trailing by just two at 63-61 heading into halftime. The Bucks open the third quarter on a 30-15 run to put the game away. Portland never threatened in the fourth.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers travel to Cleveland to meet the Cavaliers on Wednesday. The game is scheduled to tip off at 4:00 PM.

Chad's Take- Gonna be a tough road trip without Dame.
