Payton Pritchard scored a game-high 43 points and Derrick White added 41 points and three steals as the Boston Celtics defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 128-118 Wednesday night at TD Garden in Boston.
The Celtics connected on 23-of-54 from three-point range. White and Pritchard were a combined 19-of-33 from beyond the arc.
Anfernee Simons led Portland (28-35) with 30 points and Shaedon Sharpe added 25 points and six rebounds.
The Trail Blazers built a five-point lead in the second quarter but the Celtics closed the quarter on a 15-2 run and took a 66-55 halftime lead.
Boston would continue the hot-shooting in the third outscoring Portland 36-27 in the quarter taking a 20-point lead into the fourth.
The Trail Blazers got within single-digits late in the fourth thanks to a 31-15 run but a Simons missed three with 2:30 remaining ended their comeback hopes.
Jabari Walker had a career night for the Trail Blazers. He finished with 22 points in 29 minutes. He made 8-of-9 from the field and was a perfect 6-of-6 from three-point range.
