Josh Hart Drops Heat At The Buzzer

----- Josh Hart finished with 12 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists including the game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer as the Portland Trail Blazers improve to 7-3 on the year with a 110-107 victory over the Miami Heat Monday night at FTX Arena in Miami.

For the second time in four-days, the Trail Blazers win a big game on the road at the buzzer!

On Friday night the hero was Jerami Grant after his game-winner against the Suns. On Monday, the team was gathered around Josh Hart for his post game interview following his game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer from the corner lifting the Trail Blazers to an improbable 110-107 victory over the Heat Monday night in Miami.

Anfernee Simons connected on two free throws to give Portland a 107-104 lead with 8.5 second to play setting up a wild finish to the game.

Max Strus made a three-pointer for Miami with 6.2 seconds remaining to tie the game. The Trail Blazers opted not to call timeout and Damian Lillard dribbled most of the way downcourt before finding Hart in the left corner near the Heat bench for the game-winner.

The Trail Blazers saved their best for the fourth quarter.

After a pair of Jimmy Butler free throws gave Miami a 98-89 lead with with 4:53 to play, Portland closed the game on a 21-9 run.

A common theme in Portland's fast start to the season has been strength in numbers and that formula was present on Monday night.

Anfernee Simons scored 14 of his team-high 25 points in the fourth quarter, Jerami Grant scored 23 points, and Lillard finished with 19 points and six assists after missing four games with a calf injury.

The Blazers overcame 19 turnovers and outscored the Heat 37-26 in the fourth quarter to improve to 4-1 on the road.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers travel to Charlotte to meet the Hornets on Wednesday night. The game is scheduled to tip off at 4:00 PM.

Chad's Take- Gutsy win for the Blazers. Good teams find ways to win games in the 4th after struggling through first three quarters. This team has multiple guys making game-winning plays every night to propel the team to victory. Fun to watch.
