Blazers Buck Spurs

----- Jerami Grant finished with a team-high 29 points and Damian Lillard recorded a double-double with 22 points and 11 assists as the Portland Trail Blazers scored a 117-110 come from behind victory over the San Antonio Spurs Tuesday night at Moda Center.

The recurring theme for the Trail Blazers fast start to the season has been strength in numbers. Tuesday night was no exception.

Jerami Grant scored a team-high 29 points, Damian Lillard finished with 22 points and 11 assists, and Anfernee Simons added 23 points on 5-of-10 shooting from three-point range as the Portland Trail Blazers improved to 10-4 with a 117-110 come from behind win over the San Antonio Spurs Tuesday night at Moda Center.

The night was far from perfect for Portland, playing their first of three-games at home following their successful 4-2 six-game road trip that concluded Saturday in Dallas.

The Blazers struggled at times to secure rebounds and several costly turnovers resulted in easy buckets for the Spurs. Portland finished with 17 turnovers resulting in 31 points for the Spurs.

Drew Eubanks provided a great spark for the Blazers off the bench. He finished with nine points and seven rebounds while providing toughness and defense in the paint.

The Spurs took a 106-100 lead after a Jokob Poeltl tip shot with 6:50 remaining. The Blazers regained control with their defense.

Lillard energized the crowd with a block on Keita Bates-Diop followed by a three-pointer giving Portland a 110-106 edge. Josh Hart put the game away with a steal and a dunk pushing Portland's advantage to 115-110 with 1:21 to play.

''We're a good team. That's how we view ourselves. And we know what makes us a good team,'' Lillard said after the Blazers improved to 10-4. ''In the past we had to say `somebody needs to get it going' and the energy on our team now is `we've got to get some stops.'''

The Blazers closed the game on a 17-4 run.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers host the Brooklyn Nets Thursday night at Moda Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.

Chad's Take- Once again, multiple players made game-winning plays. The 2022-2023 Trail Blazers recipe for success.
