Shaedon Sharpe scored 32 points including the go-ahead three-pointer with 1:03 remaining as the Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Atlanta Hawks 114-110 Sunday evening at Moda Center in Portland.
Atlanta (6-8) jumped out to a 25-9 lead early in the first quarter, but Portland was able to fight back and cut the deficit to eight-points at 64-56 going into the locker room for halftime.
Portland trailed 74-63 with 7:54 left in the third and that's when the game began to change. The Trail Blazers finished the third on a 31-7 run to take a 94-81 lead heading into the fourth. Sharpe scored 13 points in the quarter.
The Hawks used an 18-2 run to take a three-point lead at 104-101 with 2:48 remaining. Chauncey Billups called timeout to get his team refocused.
With Portland (6-8) trailing by two at 108-106, Share connected on a three-pointer to give the Blazers the lead back for good. Sharpe would seal the game at the foul line with 1.3 seconds remaining.
Robert Williams III finished with 14 points and eight rebounds and Deni Advija added 12 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.
