Anfernee Simons led Portland (7-12) with a game-high 30 points and Deandre Ayton returned to the lineup and recorded a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Along with Ayton, Scoot Henderson returned to action Wednesday night. He came off the bench and finished with 17 points and nine assists.
Portland used a 9-2 run at the start of the fourth quarter and pulled to within two-points at 100-98, but Indiana responded with a 10-2 run to push their advantage back to double-digits.
The Trail Blazers did not get closer than five-points the rest of the way but had their chances. Simons missed a pair of free throws with 1:05 remaining that would have cut the deficit to four and he missed a three-pointer with 27 seconds remaining that would have made it a one possession game at 117-115.
Portland finished the night with 31% and connected on 45.7% from three-point range.
