Trail Blazers Come Up Short In Indianapolis

----- Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam combined for 57 points as the Indiana Pacers topped the Portland Trail Blazers 121-114 Wednesday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN.

Tyrese Haliburton finished with 28 points and 10 assists and Pascal Siakam scored a team-high 29 points as the Indiana Pacers outlasted the Portland Trail Blazers 121-114 Wednesday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Anfernee Simons led Portland (7-12) with a game-high 30 points and Deandre Ayton returned to the lineup and recorded a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Along with Ayton, Scoot Henderson returned to action Wednesday night. He came off the bench and finished with 17 points and nine assists.

Portland used a 9-2 run at the start of the fourth quarter and pulled to within two-points at 100-98, but Indiana responded with a 10-2 run to push their advantage back to double-digits.

The Trail Blazers did not get closer than five-points the rest of the way but had their chances. Simons missed a pair of free throws with 1:05 remaining that would have cut the deficit to four and he missed a three-pointer with 27 seconds remaining that would have made it a one possession game at 117-115.

Portland finished the night with 31% and connected on 45.7% from three-point range.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers return home to meet the Sacramento Kings Friday night at Moda Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.
