Meals on Wheels – Critical Donations Needed

No matter how far apart we are, we’re still in this together. Meals on Wheels prepares 25,000 meals a week to deliver to older adults every day as well as at dining centers throughout our metro area. But now that everyone is home bound and the dining centers have closed, the number of people registering for the service has skyrocketed. Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland – Providing Meals

While the Boys & Girls Clubs around the Portland metro area have been closed due to the Coronavirus, meals are still being provided at the following locations:

·Regence Boys & Girls Club at 4430 N. Trenton in N. Portland from 4:30 - 5:30 on Mondays

·Inukai Family Boys & Girls Club at 560 SE 3rd Avenue in Hillsboro from 4:45 - 6:00 on Tuesdays

·Rockwood Boys & Girls Club on 165th and SE Stark in Gresham from 3:15 -4:30 on Wednesdays

A week’s worth of dinners and snacks will be distributed at each site weekly. All youth up to age 18 can take 5 meals to get them through the week, and families can take as many meals as they have children.

During these frightening times, we will continue to fight to protect what we’ve built over the decades, but we need your help! Oregon Dog Rescue – Finding Forever Homes for Dogs

Oregon Dog Rescue is a small but mighty no-kill non-profit dog rescue serving Oregon and helping dogs far and wide. They currently have several dogs up for adoption and are welcoming dogs from other areas on a consistent basis. Important to remember that given our current health crisis, their usual fundraisers have been cancelled so donations are welcome to keep the organization afloat and to cover the medical costs needed to treat the incoming dogs before they are available for adoption.
