University of Connecticut Men’s Head Basketball Coach Dan Hurley joins Doug Gottlieb on The Doug Gottlieb Show. He says at the beginning of the season, he was just hoping to make the tournament and wasn’t really thinking about getting this deep. Things turned around when they beat Marquette in February which helped the squad regain their confidence after a tough January. He says they wear teams down throughout the game and it gives them an advantage in the second half when they are closing teams out. And they aren’t letting up as they prepare to play Miami on Saturday for a shot at the NCAA Championship.
Dan Hurley: “We play with a relentlessness in terms of our effort, how hard we play. We’re a deep team so I think that we eventually kind of break opponents down just by wearing on them.”
