Blazers Buck Spurs

----- Trail Blazers improve to 2-0 on the season with a 121-108 victory over the San Antonio Spurs Saturday night at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.

Damian Lillard set the tone early when he nailed 33-footer for his first make of the night on the way to leading the Blazers with 29 points and nine assists in their 121-108 win Saturday night over the San Antonio Spurs.

Lillard had plenty of help on the night. CJ McCollum scored 24 points and Jusuf Nurkic added 12 points and eight rebounds as the Blazers led by as much as 20 points before closing out the game in the fourth quarter.

After scoring 55 points in the opener, Portland's bench poured in 41 points being led by Zach Collins who finished with 11 points and five rebounds. Seth Curry scored nine points and Evan Turner added eight points and five assists.

Portland (2-0) had the offense in high gear during the third quarter scoring 38 points. The Blazers connected on 14-for-23 from the field including 6-for-10 from downtown. They extended their nine-point halftime lead to 97-82 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

San Antonio (1-1) got 28 points from DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge finished with just 12 points and eight boards.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers return to action on Monday night when they host the Washington Wizards at Moda Center. Game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.
