Trail Blazers Overwhelm The Cavaliers

----- Jusuf Nurkic records the Blazers' first triple-double since 2014 with 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists as Portland hammers Cleveland 129-112 Wednesday night at Moda Center.

Jusuf Nurkic finally got his triple-double!

Less than a week after coming two-assists shy of recording the team's first triple-double in five years, Nurkic hit the mark against the Cleveland Cavaliers with 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists in the Blazers 129-112 win Wednesday night at Moda Center. Nurkic also added five blocks.

The last player to record a triple-double for the Trail Blazers was Nic Batum. He did so January 8th, 2014 against the Orlando Magic at Moda Center. In that game, Batum finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 14 assists.

Nurkic achieved the triple-double by dishing out assists on four-consecutive possessions late in the fourth quarter. The last assist came with 2:27 left in the game that got him his 10th assist on a three-pointer by Damian Lillard.

“I think it’s pretty cool,” Nurkic said. “I thought that, offensively, I didn’t have the chance to be aggressive. I just try to impact the game in different ways and it worked out well today.”

Nurkic is the 15th player in franchise history to record a triple-double.

“He played a great game,” McCollum said. “It was a quiet triple-double. He impacted the game in a lot different ways, making the right passes, obviously rebounding, scoring around the basket. It was good to see him get it done tonight. Shows his versatility and how much he’s grown.”

Up Next- The Trail Blazers host the New Orleans Pelicans Friday night at Moda Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 PM.

Chad's Take- I love Jusuf Nurkic!
