Damian Lillard is having the best season of his NBA career as a player, a leader, and a teammate. As well as Lillard has played this year, he is going to have to take his game up to yet another level with the injury to CJ McCollum (left knee) Suffered Saturday at San Antonio.
Lillard is preparing to play the rest of the regular season without McCollum knowing he will have to adapt his game to what is needed in order for his team to win and hold on to home court advantage in the Western Conference playoff race. In his first game without McCollum, Lillard scored 30 points and dished out a season-high 15 assists in a 106-98 win over the Indiana Pacers. He became the 2nd player in franchise history to record at least 30 points and 15 assists (Clyde Drexler).
