Trail Blazers Stumble In Sacramento

----- Bogdan Bogdanovic scores 25 points as the Sacramento Kings down the short-handed Trail Blazers 107-99 Tuesday night at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.

In their first game without leading scorer De'Aaron Fox, Sacramento used a huge third quarter to send the Trail Blazers to their fifth loss in six games.

Bogdanovic had 25 points and 10 assists, Nemanja Bjelica added 19 points and 12 rebounds and the Kings won in their first game since losing leading scorer Fox to an ankle injury, beating the slumping Portland Trail Blazers 107-99 on Tuesday night.

The Blazers held a 49-46 lead at halftime, but the Kings responded with a 35-21 run in the third quarter to seize control of the game.

''The third quarter got away from us defensively and we had some trouble with matchups,'' Portland coach Terry Stotts said. ''They got off to a good start in the third quarter and built a lead. We really couldn't recover after that.''

Portland (4-7) turned the ball over 17 times, connected on just 8-for-30 from three-point range, and got only 17-points from their bench. The Blazers are struggling to find reliable options after Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum due to multiple injuries. Zach Collins will miss at least four months (shoulder surgery) and Rodney Hood missed tonight's game (back spasms).

Notes- Portland missed 11 of its first 15 shots beyond the arc, and Hassan Whiteside went to the bench with his third foul 6 1/2 minutes into the first quarter.

Up Next- The Blazers return home for the second of a back-to-back tomorrow night against the Toronto Raptors. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.

Chad's Take- When Anthony Tolliver, Mario Hezonja, and Gary Trent Jr. are playing a combined 54 minutes, you aren't going to win many games in the Association.
