Kings Humble Trail Blazers

----- The Sacramento Kings make 21 three-pointers as they roll to an easy 123-111 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers Saturday night at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.

The Trail Blazers' playoff hopes are officially on life support.

The Sacramento Kings led by as many as 26-points as they cruised to an easy 123-111 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers Saturday night at Moda Center. The loss drops Portland five-games behind Memphis in the loss column for the 8th and final playoff spot in the West with 17-games to play.

“We are in the danger zone,” CJ McCollum said of the Blazers’ playoff hopes. “We need every game.”

Bogdan Bogdanovic scored 27 points while connecting on 7-of-11 from three-point range and Buddy Hield added 22 points off the bench to lead the Kings.

Sacramento connected on 55.3% of their three-point field goals on 21-of-39 shooting, 13 of those coming in the first half when the Kings scored 77 points. The 21 threes tied a Kings franchise-high.

The Blazers playing with tired legs on second of a back-to-back struggled to make shots. Damian Lillard scored just 12 points on 4-of-15 shooting and McCollum added 19 points to lead the Blazers on 7-of-15 shooting.

While the Kings were on fire from downtown, the Blazers connected on just 10 of their 39 shots from three-point range.

Even though the game was far from competitive, the two teams did provide some fireworks in the second half.

With 8:50 left in the third quarter, McCollum and Alex Len got into a physical altercation with the Kings leading 80-60. After a review, Len was called for an offensive foul and both players were assessed offsetting technical fouls. Although both players put their fists up, neither threw a punch and both players stayed in the game.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers will host the Phoenix Suns Tuesday night at Moda Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.

Chad's Take- Blazers now five-games back in the loss column behind Memphis with 17-games to play. Playoff hopes officially on life support.
