Trail Blazers Stumble In Sacramento

----- Buddy Hield scored 22 points and De'Aaron Fox finished with 21 points and six assists as the Sacramento Kings ended the Portland Trail Blazers four-game winning streak with a 125-121 victory Wednesday evening at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.

Portland's road woes continue Wednesday night in Sacramento!

Buddy Hield scored 22 points and De'Aaron Fox added 21 points and six assists before being ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct as the Sacramento Kings topped the Portland Trail Blazers 125-121 Wednesday night at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.

With the loss, Portland (10-9) dropped to a lowly 1-8 on the road.

Once again, the Blazers failed to take the energy they have played with at Moda Center on the road as the Kings scored early and often putting 18 points on the board in the first four minutes of the game.

Portland was plagued by poor communication, defensive rotations, and a loss of poise. Robert Covington was ejected for a "hostile act towards an official" after tossing his facemask in frustration.

CJ McCollum scored just 13 points on 6-of-20 shooting and was called for a critical 5-second violation with 24 seconds on the clock and Portland trailing by four points at 121-117.

The Kings (7-12) got 61 points from their bench and connected on 52.3% of their field goals.

Jusuf Nurkic played his best game season finishing with 28 polnts, 17 rebounds, and five assists on 12-of-17 shooting. He became the first player this season to record a double-double in the first quarter.

Damian Lillard finished with 32 points and 10 assists. He connected on 14-of-15 from the free throw line.

Portland will now head to San Francisco to meet the 16-2 Golden State Warriors. The Warriors have won nine-straight home games by double digits. Probably not the best place to play when you're searching for your road energy and defense.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers will travel to San Francisco to meet the Warriors on Friday evening at Chase Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.

Chad's Take- A night to forget for CJ McCollum.
