Trail Blazers Shell The Timberwolves

----- The Portland Trail Blazers finish up their four-game road trip at 3-1 with a 132-122 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves Monday night at Target Center in Minneapolis.

After putting up just 90 points against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday, the Trail Blazers exploded for a 132-122 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Blazers connected on 54.9% of their shots including a scorching 15-of-30 from three-point range. And much like we have seen over the last couple of weeks, the success was all about balance.

The Blazers bench tallied 60 points including a triple-double from Evan Turner. He finished with 13 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists, the first triple-double for the Blazers off the bench since Rod Strickland back in 1992. It was Turner's first in exactly four years to the day.

"Once everybody made shots we start feed of each other, second unit had a great night," Evan Turner said. "I did something Damian Lillard didn't do, i'm proud."

Seth Curry added 19 points connecting on five of his nine shots from downtown and Meyers Leonard scored nine points on 4-for-4 shooting.

Rodney Hood got the start in place of CJ McCollum and played well. Hood scored 20 points on 8-for-14 shooting in 29 minutes of action and Enes Kanter recorded another double-double finishing with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Damian Lillard played the role of facilitator as he finished with a double-double 15 points and 12 assists.

"We have to depend on different guys, different guys on different nights," Blazers Coach Terry Stotts said. "I thought we had a lot of contributions and I like our resiliency after giving up our lead and getting down by six in the fourth quarter."

With the win, Portland (49-28) remains tied for third in the Western Conference playoff standings with the Houston Rockets. Both teams have five games remaining on their schedule.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers return home to meet the Memphis Grizzlies Wednesday night at Moda Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.

Chad's Take- I knew Seth Curry could shoot, but I didn't realize he was this good off-the-bounce. I really like his game. He has settled nicely into his role with the Trail Blazers. Props to him for his hard work.
