Former Beaver Terrell Roberts shot and killed in Richmond, California

Former Oregon State Beaver defensive back Terrell Roberts was shot and killed while visiting his Grandmother in Richmond, California.

Roberts was an important member of the Oregon State Fiesta Bowl team that destroyed Notre Dame 41-9 in the 2001 game. That team finished in the number four spot in the final AP Poll.

Jonathan Smith was a teammate of Roberts and went on social media today.

Local reports in the Bay Area say that Roberts was visiting his grandmother in the 1200 block of Fascination Circle in Richmond when someone entered the home and shot him in the backyard.

After Roberts left Oregon State he played 23 games for the Cincinnati Bengals.
