Grizzlies Rough-Up Trail Blazers

----- Dillon Brooks scored 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds and Desmond Bane added 23 points as the Memphis Grizzlies handed the Portland Trail Blazers a 113-103 defeat Wednesday night at Moda Center.

The Memphis Grizzlies delivered a knockout punch in the second half to top the Trail Blazers 113-103 Wednesday night at Moda Center.

Trailing 55-47 at halftime, the Portland Trail Blazers exploded to start the third quarter going on a 31-13 run taking a 78-68 lead. What happened next was a microcosm of the Blazers season which has gone sideways.

The Grizzlies responded with an 18-0 run to take control of the game in the fourth quarter.

During that stretch, Portland went 8:51 without a field goal.

The Blazers stopped moving on offense, made numerous mistakes on defense, and once again Damian Lillard and his teammates failed to make shots down the stretch while the Grizzlies made all the right plays.

With the loss, Portland (11-18) has lost seven-straight games, six-straight at Moda Center, and 10 of their last 11 overall.

Norman Powell led Portland with 25 points, Lillard scored 21 points on 6-of-21 shooting, and Jusuf Nurkic recorded a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers will host the Charlotte Hornets Friday night at Moda Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.

Chad's Take- This is what happens when you play Damian Lillard 47-minutes the night before.
