Anfernee Simons Returns, Blazers Come Up Short In San Francisco

----- Steph Curry scored a game-high 31 points as the Golden State Warriors closed the game on an 18-8 run to finish off the Trail Blazers late 110-106 Wednesday night at Chase Center in San Francisco.

Steph Curry scored 17 of his game-high 31 points in the third quarter and Jonathan Kuminga scored 13 points on 6-of-6 shooting as the Golden State Warriors improved to (10-11) with a 110-106 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers Wednesday night at Chase Center.

Simons returned to the Blazers' lineup after missing 18-games (thumb surgery). He scored a team-high 28 points on 10-of-27 shooting.

Shaedon Sharpe continued his impressive play against the Warriors. He finished with 26 points, six rebounds, and five assists on 10-of-18 shooting.

Portland (6-14) took a 98-92 lead with 5:32 to play on a driving layup from Sharpe, but Curry and the Warriors got the final word. Golden State closed the game on an 18-8 run to finish off the Trail Blazers.

The Blazers pulled to within 105-104 after a Matisse Thybulle three-pointer with 51 seconds remaining. Portland would get a defensive stop with 30.1 seconds remaining, but a Kuminga steal on a Toumani Camara pass ended in a Curry three-pointer with 9.2 seconds remaining putting the Warriors up 108-104.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers return to Portland to meet the Dallas Mavericks Friday night at Moda Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.
